The Shooter
The school's in lock-down
I am hiding
Next to him
He takes my hand
We wait
We pray
There's a shooter in the school
Footsteps
Echo
Down the hall
They stop
At the door of room A102
The room we're in
He tries the handle
Locked
So he breaks the window
Reaches in
Turns the lock
He's in the room
We're under the desk
We hold our breath
He turns to leave
My stomach growls
He hears
He returns
Now the desk is flipped over
He pulls the trigger
but my friend takes the bullet
It was not for him
The bullet was for me
The cold eyes of the killer
stare at me
He raises the gun
pulls the trigger
Nothing
He stops to reload
I grab the scissors
I run
I stab
He falls
Victory
Revenge
Murder
The phone is in my hands
I call the police
The killer dies
My friend is saved
I wish
For in fact the shooter had bullets
Plenty
When he pulled the trigger
I fell
He escaped
Victory for the evil
Death for the good
That is fate
That is life
