Such An Odd Little Boy
He’s drinking out of the milk carton
Again
Even though I told him not to
So many times
He comes home from school,
and deposits his backpack and coat quickly,
Then begins to play
Pokémon all day
So much knowledge he has
it’s as if he was an actual Pokémon trainer.
He always begs fro pizza and pancakes
Almost everyday
Such an odd little six year old
With so much knowledge on dinosaurs
I remember asking him one day
“What do you want to be when you grow up?”
“A paleontologist” he said
With a determined look on his face
Such an odd little six year old
I remember when he turned one
We had a birthday cake for him
and the cake deflated with a
SPLAT
His foot went into it
and he had some more cake
He will grow up fast
So I will remember him like this:
A small six year old with glasses
Making his eyes look big,
drinking milk out of the carton again,
begging for pizza and pancakes
Sitting in front of the T.V.
playing Pokémon games.
Telling me
“I want to be a paleontologist when I grow up.”
