Hide and Seek
Locked away
In a small basement
Dark
The small lights
Turn off and on
Dimming away
Thump, thump
I hear his feet
Hard on the floor
Coming for me
Then creak the door has opened
Slow steps down the stairs
He clicks the light on
A buss fills the air
Of an old and broken light
My door is closed
Locked
He pounds on the door
His lungs are filled with anger
He reaches for the key
The door slides open
He is looking for me
I hold my breath
But my heart continues to pound
His hearing has surpassed
I have played well so far
But he is winning
His hands
Grab my body
His finertips burn my flesh
My throat soar
My tears for like acid rolling down my cheek
I turn my face
And peer in his eyes
Evil stares me straight in the eye
Daddy wins
