Change Myself

They say that you can't change anyone,
That people don't change.
But if I change myself,
Would I be the same?
Would I still be evil
If I wanted to be good?
Would I still be a scholar
Coming from the hood?
Would I would repeatedly sin
And not ask for forgiveness?
If I do all these things
Would I ever see happiness?
Could I change if I wanted?
Would I be somebody else?
Would I change if I wanted
To change myself?
