As I walk through the memorial. I feel like crying.
At first, I’m not sure why.
But I can feel the tears coming,
Like watching someone die.
All these people, they are dead,
I never actually met.
But I feel like crying, all the same,
That’s just fine, I bet.
I leave a dime to honor them,
I know it is not much.
But I want to leave them something
To honor them as such.
I want to say thanks, I want to leave this
Poem with many a rhyme,
However that’s not possible right now
For I am out of time.

I was at DC last year. When I got to the Vietnam memorial, I started crying, though I have no idea why. I wrote this on the way back to the hotel
