"It takes courage to grow up and turn out to be who you really are" - e.e. cummings

Outside i see
a sight so free
children shouting
proud trees bowing

into the pond water is falling
to their mates birds are calling
overhead a cloud drifts lazily by
no one says a word, no one speaks a lie

fresh air and flowers fill my nose
that smell so sweet, as sweet as a rose
droplets of dew, like tears, rest on the leaves
i can feel the sunlight shining through the trees

peace, serenity and calm
a butterfly comes to rest on my palm
sun on the water
not a care or a bother

stirred by the wind, leaves rustle
off to their nests, birds hustle
i close my eyes and breath in deep
i dream of spring and drift off to sleep

Another of my very early poems, its very simple but i like it because it flows nicely. I also think that it captures the silent peace that spring brings, when everything is thawing but the world dose not quite realize it yet and everything is relaxed and lazy.
