Beautiful & Vintage
A postcard from 1952,
A seltzer bottle with a tint of blue,
The old lady said, “that’s $3.50 hun,”
Destination and people are just part of the fun.
Rustic and brass was the birdcage,
Judy Garland’s face upon a lipstick ad page,
A trunk like a pirate’s chest,
Don’t bargain for that price to be less,
The man spoke with an accent from Brooklyn,
Buy something now and pass it on to your kin,
Every single shop is full of complete and utter mystery,
No one knows, it might just be an artifact from history.
There were many wonderful things in booth 324,
Some shops by the Jersey Shore,
All knickknacks are not completely “mintage,”
But everything in sight was beautiful and vintage.
