Impossibilities seem endless.
Love set astray
In a never ending drift
You keep pushing me away.
I sit alone, listening to a dream
In the sanctuary of my mind.
Safe and serene.
I close my eyes
And become blind
To life's despair and lies
Numb.
No longer able to feel.
At peace.
Life no longer seems real
Echoes of my past begin to haunt my mind
I begin to quiver, no longer able to find
The peace and serenity I once knew
For in my mind's eye, I see you.
I open my eyes and begin to scream.
I am no longer Safe in a World of Dreams.
