A word to those in dreamless sleep
“Wake up! Live life! Go live and dream.
Dreams do not stale - they’d rather steep.”

The mass, the thought cannot conceive,
Numb minds, molasses, could not gleam,
A word to those in dreamless sleep.

Rise up against the slowing creep.

Though hope’s asunder by the seam,

Dreams do not stale - they’d rather steep.

The grain the idle never reap.
Those enlightened are heard to scream
A word to those in dreamless sleep:

“The growing wall is not too steep!
All rivers start a single stream,
Dreams do not stale - they’d rather steep.

Sometimes through faith you have to leap
Play no requiem for a dream

A word to those in dreamless sleep:
Dreams do not stale - they’d rather steep.”

The author's comments:
Dreams are everlasting, living things, that tend to steep, or grow richer and fuller, rather than staling and breaking down. Dreams never die; pursuing them after many years, although more difficult, only makes achieving them all the better.
