The Pie
When I walked into the kitchen one day
Something caught my eye
Something super sweet and sugary
It was an apple pie.
I grabbed a fork and knife and spoon
Getting ready to dig in
Then somebody came up to me
And grabbed it by the tin!
I whirled around to see my mom
The pie held firmly in her hand
"This is not for you," she said
"Don't touch it, understand?"
I nodded and apologized
But as soon as she had left
I snuck the pie up to my room
Pleased with my brilliant theft
But it all came back to bite me
'Cause when that pie was done
I had a long date with the toilet
That really wasn't fun.
