American is ME!

What is an American you ask me?
To be born in the fare states is not just it.
To me it is more than what it just seems
To me is just more than being free.
My rights are set and well respected
Though long before my blood was well neglected.
With pride I hold this precious land
That once captured my kind with chain in hand.

Family gatherings and holiday cheer remind us that we are not alone,
Family fun and that old turkey tradition with laugh and thanks is a token of how far we have come. No present can compare to the joy in my heart as I see my family coming together with great cheer and love.
Though far away and not because of enjoyment, we never forget those who are ours. And in those moments my heart jumps in excitement and it waits until the next holiday to reconnect to my desire energy. My life is beautiful with no regrets and that is why I enjoy such a land with great opportunities.

Waving the red, white and blue brings tear to my heart, reminding me that I am free to be who I want to be. We are all; we are one, North, South and West, with only one quest. To show the world America is one is the best!
