Lonely
The death of one is the death of many
Disbelief and regret clouds the path that we walked
We become just a body with no emotion
Forgetting ourselves from being so shocked
The death of one is the death of many
Our world keeps going while we are stopped
Nowhere to go for we think we’re alone
Replaying the moment when our hearts dropped
The death of one is the death of many
Overwhelming thoughts of what life will now be
And these thoughts about life are what kill us inside
Changing our thoughts from we to me
The death of one is the death of many
WE think WE’RE alone but WE just can’t see
WE isolate ourselves, yet there are others grieving
WE becomes I. And I become lonely.
