One's Master
I feel light finally touching my skin,
But the darkness consumes my wanting,
My aching, the thing that breaks me,
Who?
The yearning is quickly weakening,
The fire that runs me cold,
Trembling, the thing is finally in control,
Who?
It runs me dry by filling my thirst,
Starving me by giving me what I crave,
The hate and love of being a slave,
To who?
The shadows love when I'm in the wrong,
They beat me when I'm free,
They leave and flee,
To who?
They pleasantly come again,
Bringing the heart of disaster,
willingly, with only one master,
Me.
