All my life you were there, hiding, but where?
Could it possibly be the one I never expected?
The one who was shy? But please explain why.

I never knew how much beauty could hide right
Between my eyes.

I never knew how much you cared. But now I
Know that I am spared. Spared from the thought
of being alone. Alone in the park when all was dark.
Alone thinking in bed, what was going on in my head,
Thinking all was dead.
Alone, so deep and all I could do was weep.
Alone in the day when I was put astray.
Alone from everything I ever knew.

I truly never knew that you were there,
But little did I know, you really showed that you care.

I never knew about you, but then maybe I did.
I should not have hid for so long.

I never knew one person could be so close, but yet so far.
I stopped believing in you. I thought that you were gone
forever, when really you were always there.
You were the only one that I could turn to when all was
lost. I knew that I would have to pay a great cost, if I turned








away from the one thing that I loved most.
I was arrogant, and all I ever did was boast.
I thought that I was the best, and never really cared
about the rest.
You showed me the way, You showed me the truth, You
showed me the light. I tried to run, I tried to fight. Tried to
fight everything you were trying to show me, and it took
all of my might. But that still was not enough.
I felt trapped, I had to flee, but it was evident that I could
not see.
I was blind, I was scared, I thought that you never cared.

I never knew, but now I do, I know that you were always
there.
I knew that you loved me, and It took time to realize that
you were always there. Day and night, but out of sight.

I never knew that all it takes is a little faith.

I now have full faith in you, and now I can see.
My eyes are opened wide, and now I will no longer
hide. I will not hide from you again, because I never knew
then, what I know now, that you oh Lord, is all I need.
