Wonderland
As I tumbled down the endless burrow
Knick-knacks, things and chairs made my brows furrow
The loud squawking of the bird alarm clock
Kind of like the Peter Pan hungry crock
The tunnel, it came to an abrupt end
As I looked up the ceiling seemed to bend
Many doors to choose from along the wall
But that’s it, there wasn’t even a hall
The last door stood no higher than my knee
And even with that I needed the key
The center table held some hope, the last
A bottle to drink with side effects fast
My new size measured about an inch
When I realized I was in a big pinch
The key lay atop the table too high
But on the ground sat something like a pie
The confection rested on the tile floor
I took a bite debating to eat more
Before I could look my size was double
My head hit the ceiling, “I’m in trouble”
A plan came to my mind, I acted quick
These items, to me, were just a mere trick
With key in my hand I drank the bottle
Then I ran to the door at full throttle
The other side was a great sight to see
A luscious green garden bloomed before me
I saw a rabbit run, the one that’s white
A chase began, shrubs blurring past my sight
My adventure was grand, this I can tell
From the time now and at the point I fell
A sleeping mouse, the march hare, the hatter
All sitting to drink tea on a platter
There was the mysterious grinning cat
Chasire was his name, I learned about that
I also heard of the Queen and the Knave
Always fighting over tarts someone gave
The Jabberwocky and the Bandersnatch
I was told and saw nobody could match
I enjoyed the new land I fell into
Only to wake up and think, “Its not true”
I got up and walked back to my own house
Mind tricking me, I thought I saw a mouse
Walking while dozed off, it even fell flat
By it, a grinning cat wearing that hat
