"Be Your Own Kind Of Beauty'

The cage is my home
full of cruel and darkness
I have no one to talk to
I wish to be free

Shame
Am I the blame for being here
in this world, causing hatred
and bullied by the white stones
I wish to be free

The cage is like a glue
no way out
holding us back
Wanting to fly high
feeling the breeze through
my face
I wish to be free

Can't get out, can't escape
like a princess in a tall tower
bars closing in, choking the air
no freedom
I wish to be free

Unable to spread my wings
big and wide
unable to explore the
adventerous world
unable to live a life
I wish to be free

Doves flying in
front of me
further and further away
my eyes envy
all I can do is to stare
until it disappears
in the horizon
I'm stuck in this
dirty
cold
and
hard
caged
I wish to be free

I wish to feel free
I wish to forget the
bad memories
I wish to live a normal life
where there are no bad air
to breathe in, no hatred
I wish to be free

This poem is about the I Know Why Caged Bird Sings book. I hope people would understand what I was saying and if they do then they would get the concept of the book when they read it.
