I Am A Fish
I am a fish
I see the water I live in
I hear my food hitting the water above
I feel the water running through my gills
I am a slippery little fish
I dream I will soon have a friend
I worry I will be forgotten
I want a bigger bowl
I hope I will be given better living conditions
I am a slippery little fish
I understand I’m not my owner’s favorite
I try not to be forgotten
I say I will survive
I touch the rocks beneath me
I am a fish a slippery little fish
