Grandpa
I know it’s been about three years,
Since you have passed away,
But once again I found myself,
Thinking of you today.
I know you’ve only passed away,
From us a little while,
But still sometimes we shed a tear,
And find it hard to smile.
I know those years we had with you
Slipped by so very fast,
I’m sorry for ever thinking,
That those times would always last.
But I’m not, and never will be sorry,
For the time I spent with you,
I only wish, and really wish,
I’d have know you better too.
But I’m thankful for the memories
You still effect my life today
And I know you will forever,
No matter where I find my way.
