But Still
But Still
My mind is empty,
but still,
waves crash
upon a distant shore.
But still
streams rush,
sunlight scorches
mountaintops.
Safe
under down blankets
I am deceived
by sanity.
The constant motion,
emotion,
wild whirlwind of mystery
never ceases.
The power
is overwhelming
so we tune it out;
sink to society.
But still,
forests grow taller
boulders smaller
night falls over the ocean.
