I saw a picture of you today
one from a long, long time ago.
You were staring down at me
almost willing me to grow.
You saw me that day
standing, towering over me.
I was staring up at you
as happy as could be.
I saw you today
the first time since i watched you die.
You were staring down at me
through the eyes of a butterfly.
You saw me today
I was standing near my car
staring up at you
but you were much, much to far.
