Even with the sun in the sky
It is consumed with grey clouds that fly by
Even when the birds sing
There is a rough bass line that rings
Even where wildlife blooms
Death closely looms

What happened to the green grass
That has turned in to broken glass?
What happened to the blue sea
That is no longer a safe place to be?
What happened to our beautiful Earth
That now lies bound to an ugly curse?

Even when the wind blows
A heat washes over us
Even where there is color
It is dimmed by darkness
Even with moon light nights
Things still give people a fright

What happened to the gentle rain
That now causes so many pain?
What happened the starry skies
That now never come out and hide?
