Ears.
I have two.
My right and my left.
Everyone has ears,
But some do not work.
My ears have heard everything.
My ears have been through hell.
I was younger when my ears always hurt.
With the screaming and yelling.
I could close my eyes,
But not my ears.
I could cover my ears,
But the noise always soaked in.
Every time they fought,
Every time they yelled,
I could hear.
I tried so hard to block the sound,
But nothing ever worked.
My ears ache,
As does my heart.
