O, P, Q, R poem
Oh the Places You Go
Whether it’s far, far away or just a puny mile down the street, anywhere away from home can be a mini-vacation if you make it happen. I have found pictures of me flying in an airplane younger than the age of one, all on vacations to destinations of such places like Florida, the Carolinas, and Mexico (several times), Jamaica, and many more in the country. My first time to Mexico was in the October of 2008? Maybe… well sometime around then at least. You know, the tropical places are great, beautiful and entertaining, but one place I really want to visit is Italy. I love Italian food, so it would be the perfect match of course. Also I’m a big fan of the Olympians /Gods/ Myths; therefore I adored reading the Percy Jackson series. I have always enjoyed learning about the constellations with all the stories that go with each one, and mostly because a lot of our society came from/ originated from the early Greeks and the history from them.
Pretty in Pink
My favorite color is defiantly blue. Any shade that is categorized under blue on the color wheel is perfect for me. I prefer the lighter shades of blue or the ocean blue- greenish colors the most. Really I don’t know where I got the affection from, sometimes I think it’s because I have blue eyes, and blonde hair…just a theory. Other days I believe differently and wonder if it could be from all the places I have traveled to and I enjoy the ocean the most during each trip. So for all you boys out there, not every girl’s favorite color is pink in every situation. Pink is never a bad color, just my first pick when reaching in a box of crayons happens to be that Blue Green Crayola crayon every time. I always find space in my heart for every Crayola color imaginable somehow.
Quality Reading
One of my most favorable books by far reading is “Sarah’s Key”. I don’t know whether it’s the suspenseful day and night reading of the Holocaust, or the “kick back with popcorn and a drink combo” of Julia Armond’s life. Either way it kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to read more and more not to set the book down. It was a real page turner. The Holocaust is a touchy subject to write about, but Tatiana De Rosnay wrote it so gracefully without too much unwanted detail, and flawlessly that I’d recommend this book for any high school student and older to read. This book has touched my heart in a new way to see history differently.
Ready for Summer again
With the warmth of the sun’s rays against your face, it just gives you the energy of a young toddler again. While in the midst of the hot summer day you catch a summer glow that will never go, and at dusk the cool breeze through your hair and whispers across your back. The awkward tan lines remain the same till that someday you try to change. I want it to come back, the long summer days filled with laughter and fun. Along with the long and super hot softball tournament days, getting team bonding in every second of the day during each game those we play. I miss you summer, please come back.
