Reasoning Christmas
Christmas is home for the holidays.
Visiting with family and friends.
The smell of cookies
And gingerbread men.
The carolers at your door singing,
And the joy they are bringing.
Makes me want to decorate the tree
With my family.
It lights up the room
And is sure to take away any gloom.
And the gifts that lie under
Will make the children wonder.
We all dream of waking up to a snow filled lawn,
And playing in it all day until it is gone.
Coming inside to a cup of hot cocoa,
Steaming hot with many marshmallows
These thoughts of Christmas gather us around,
Even though they are not sound.
Then remembering the scriptures we read
Of Christ’s birth on Christmas Eve.
