This Place

Four walls separate me from the world
two green, two brown hold me tightly
Paper lamps hang from the ceiling
fill my room and warm it slightly.
There is no other place I can go
and feel so happy and at home.
There is no other place on this Earth
where I can feel so perfectly alone
The place offers the sweetest seclusion
that I can't feel anywhere else.
There is no other space I can go
to feel completely content with myself.
In three years, I will be forced
to leave my home and my room
I'll have to leave this beautiful place,
only to return soon.
