Hope is in the Heart

Everything seems so dark
a life consumed by panic and fear
I have lost so many
the past now so unclear.
My worlds hangs by a thread of hope
for hope is all I've ever known
I hope that one day I can outlive
I hope that one day I shall grow.
As bad times come ashore
my true friends shall remain
to help me through this struggle
and support me through disdain.
Keep in mind, all of you
that when the world seems dark
hope is the last thing to ever go
hope is in the heart.
