The Story of Me

She was 16,
and so was he.
Now this is the story,
of how I came to be.

Making bad decisons,
one thing led to the next
not knowing that in two weeks,
their life would be a mess.

9 months later,
on March 18th,
He was long gone,
no where to be seen.

The adopted baby girl,
now 14 years old,
feels like somethings missing
'cause she's his baby girl he never got to hold.

Now this is the story,
of how I came to be.
Never knowing,
the man who fathers me.

The author's comments:
I'm adopted and both my birth parents were 16. He bailed eventually and left my birth mom to have a kid all on her own. That pisses me off. If you have the balls to make a baby at 16, then you have the balls to be a father at 16. I never get to see my birth mom, we're going on two years that i haven't seen her and she lives about 10 minutes away. This has really taken its toll on me. I sometimes feel like its in my blood to have sex, do drugs, drink and mess my life up. But nope. I know I'm better then that.
