Giggling
Chatting about
Fashion,
Work and,
Men
With two other women
While getting beautified
A normal day at the salon.

Seeing you walk in
Looking deadly and crazed
I know something is horribly wrong.
Nothing stopping this broken man,
Who’s ignored his restraining orders
Not even caring the consequences.
Who’s given up on life,

Who’s got nothing left,
But, a wife
that wants out of his life.
Realizing the darkness
In your
Furious
Beady eyes,
the shiny weapon in your
untrusting hands.
I know I have limited time.
I have to
Hide
Run,
Survive
Duck and dive
The bullets that fly.
Howling Screams
Filled the air
As the body of the other woman drops
A bullet
To her lower shoulder.

Running for my life
Stumbling
Trying to stay strong as one
Pierces
My neck.
Praying to stay alive
Making it to the outside
Looking for help
For I know
The target in mind…

Your wife,
My mom
