This Sunday afternoon,
the cloud draped sky soothes the land.
As my foot steps out the door,
I look up.
Nature shines…

My nose turns red,
as frost falls from the sky.
Shoes slush the pathway,
carving footprints down the walk.
Nature shines…

As I look up,
the sky moves from blue to white.
Trees are changing too,
from green to red.
Nature shines…

Droplets lay on grass,
like leaves rest on the swings.
Branches sway from north to south,
as birds fly through the night.
Nature shines…

Streets empty and fill,
as streams stop and go.
Houses stand still,
like water freezing over night.
Nature shines…

Light creeps through clouds,
like squirrels crawling along the ground.
Firewood scents the air,
as sparks fly through the sky.
Nature shines…

Eyes begin to peak,
as white dots fall from the sky.
Warm chocolate fills a nose,
the cooler the air gets.
Nature shines…

Lights go out,
all throughout the night.
The morning waits,
to brighten another eye.
Still, nature shines.
