my skyline
my skyline
 is distant city lights
an illuminated balcony of wax candles
 eagerly spilling atop one another
 embedded solely in gravity's law

 my skyline
is moonlight dancing upon an ocean of rooftops
 serenading trembling autumn leaves
 weaving through twisted roads
the lone performer of the night

 my skyline
is an elemental blur of beauty
certain magnetisms between the soil, the birds, the stars
the earth we lay upon blinking with light
each bird soaring, spinning on its axis
