An Ideal Me
What can you do when you look in the mirror and what you see
Is not the you, you want to be
What's to be done when you know you can't achieve
Many of the goals you wish to meet
There is an ideal me who lives in my head
She's so far from real she might as well be dead
What is the purpose of making friends
When the roads your relationships take all lead to dead ends
What can be done when the talents you desire
You know for a fact are impossible to acquire
There is an ideal me who is too good to be real
All that she has and all that she is I wish I could steal
What can be said to one who can't see
That the person they are is who they should be
What is the purpose of living a life
In which everything is wrong and nothing is right
There is an ideal me who is like me but better
Who longs to come out but I'm too afraid to let her
