To Lament: to Live
The tale is true, and mine
 Of building a stone haven
 Then with time and tide,
 Letting it erode down
 Left with shattered pieces
 Unable to serve its purpose.
 Living in fragments
 The world oblivlious
For its just one bit of stone,
 In the scheme of things

 In spite of it all,
 Parts mend together
To re-build into a tarnished figure,
Stitched with only bits of thread.
 A contorted image appears
The outside unmistakably of the same,
 But the soul pierced forever
 An empty skeleton.
For its just one bit of stone,
 In the scheme of things

 A brand new day,
 Patched anew.
 The stone with the tide
 Repeating its cycle,
 Of falling into shards
 The fragile pieces
 Forever damaged into
 A worn away puzzle.
 To form a single stone,
 Unable to be repaired
