Breeze
The wind is not as fleeting as I am
Nor is it as strong.
For if I had to stay meekly put
It would feel too wrong.
The ocean is not as deep as I am
Nor is it as blue.
For it does not crave for love
As strongly as I do.
The breeze is not as swift as I am
Nor is it as clever.
But if I were half as calm
I would be happy never.
Lions are not as brave as I am
Nor are they as bold.
For they must succumb to death
When their bodies are old.
Birds are not as free as I am
Nor do they truly soar.
For no matter how high they fly,
They will never reach heaven’s door
