What Is Love?
A playful game of hide and seek
The distant aim of shy and meek

A glowing warm light in a dark cold world
A risky venture, a stark bold scene

 A lie masking promise
 A tie lacking solace

 Maybe divinity and salvation
 Or debauchery and revelation

 Soft understanding born one day
 Raging misconception, torn the next
 Something to mourn for all
 But truly worn by few

The English language is too little
 To bandage this word riddle

It can’t be in the word
 It must live in heart
 Or else a stranger
