Juke Box Love Song
I could take the nighttime clouds dyed moonlight silver
and wrap them around you,
Take the stars and braid them into your dark hair,
Take the whippoorwills,
nightingales, owls,
And sing you a love song that touches your bones
Write its notes on to the tape
And let the ribbons of the cassette unwind
And while we listen to it play,
Dance with you till the nighttime clouds melt,
Dance with you, till I’m wrapped all around you.
