Fingers intertwined
Fingers intertwined, hearts beat in time
People stare as they walk by, step after step, side by side
They think the same scared thoughts, but still stand so brave
They know as long as they’re together, they’ll be okay
Walking down a side walk made from broken dreams
People stare as they pick up the shattered pieces
They know things will be okay, as they try,
Try and put the broken pieces back together
No matter what they’re going through,
They try and keep things together around them
Even when they’re miles apart, they do more than anyone
More than anyone could ever know or realize
Through the fights and arguments, the love,
The love still shines through, brighter than the sun
They know they have each other in the end
Whether smiling or in tears, they know their love,
Their love for each other will always be there
