Beautiful
is just a word
and so are
Love
and
Perfection
but with six billion voices
the words become longer
get stuck in your throat
with six billion opinions
the world spins faster
or slower
but only listens to the people
complicate them
and suddenly
the words are out of reach it seems
pushed away by six billion voices
all shouting
grabbing
pushing shoving
life's a contest
a never-ending struggle
for the words we built up
to be heroes
to be famous
to be perfect
but if we all just shut up
for a few seconds
we might hear the words
like it's the first time.
