Sitting here thinking
Thinking bout what used to be
Couldn't help but ask
Why have you chosen me
That's god of course
He put me where I posed to be
He took me out the hood
Where things wasn't good
He told me that I should
Follow him because he would
Show what this world really was
And what we see is just because
We're being deceived by what once was

The thing that inspired me to write this piece was the fact that this was something real in my life, also I felt that god placed these words into my heart, and I would hope that people would get encouragement from this, because where you come from does not determine what you are going to be in life.
