The Dream That I've Been Chasing

The lights go down
The crowd goes wild
As I take the stage
I feel a smile
The music starts
The band is loud
I hear my voice echo
From the crowd
Adrenaline pumps
My heart is racing
As I reach the dream
That I’ve been chasing
I look around
Everyone is clapping
I can’t believe
This is really happening
We finish the 1st song
And begin the next
I can feel the music
Deep down in my chest
The rest of the show
In a blur, flies by
And when the last song starts
I feel like I could cry
Everyone sings along
This feeling is new
And I can’t help but think
It’s a dream come true
