Who Says Words Don't Hurt

what happens when you are alone

what happens when your depressed because four letter rocks are being thrown

what happens when they say don’t let it get to you even though your struggle is shown

what happens when their words become more then words and then turn to stone.

they say that your pain is physical

they say that your seeking attention when the hurt is more then ridicule

they say that they will help, but what they say will happen, it isn’t possible

they say that you need to make up with them but even after you remain rivals.

if words didn’t hurt then I would never have been bullied

if words didn’t hurt I would not abuse this pen and pad and express myself fully

if words didn’t hurt then people would be fine and express them self freely

if words didn't hurt then this poem would be titled differently

i remember my parents "saying sticks and stones my break your bones but words will never hurt you" later on in life i have realized that is a load of crap. that is what this poem is meant to recognize
