This is the way
the world ends
not with a bang
but a whimper and scream
The bloody sunrise reveals
the atrocities of man
corpses strewn, flesh and sinew
lie scattered in the sand
The time is upon us
judgement at last
of men and by God
to turn the world to glass
Towers of ash
blot the suns light
screams of survivors
call for a fight
God sweeps his hand
thousands more fall
Those unholy, unwashed
who refused Gabriel's call
