Broken Bodies
Like something ugly- has something to hide
 The merry-go-round takes a ride
The little girl- a full wide grin
 And ghostly pale, translucent skin

Round and round the girly goes
 A destination time doesn’t know
In the funny mirrors that take no tears
The green eyes of a hunter pierce

The clowny face only wears a frown
The music flows, then splatters down
 The darkness inundates the flood
With veins of crimson tinted blood

 To spin, to smile
 To laugh a while
 To lose your mind
 To another kind
To find yourself in bed alone
And no one calls when you answer the phone
To feel so lost, alone, abused
To do it right now, the hunter mused.
Why, they’re all lined up, just to see
The little girl, and the girl is me
But the little girl has something to hide
As she takes her silent ride
life isn’t always as it appears,
and this little girl only cries red tears
For when she fears, adds one to the pile
She always has to hide her smile
