You said it was sad,
Sad that I liked you more than a friend.
What’s really sad is that
All I ever did was be there for you when you needed someone.
What’s really sad is that
All I ever did was watch out for you when you were in trouble.
What’s really sad is that
All I ever did was make sure you were safe,
Even when you didn’t want to be.
What’s really sad is that
I never really loved you like that,
Only as a brother.
What’s really sad is that
You ignore me every day,
When all I ever do is care.
