Opaque nails shine in the blinding sun
 On toes that bend the warm grass your bare feet tread on
 Balmy breezes, seeming to be the hue of misty tangerine
 Catch the hem of a billowy cotton sundress 
 Light and flowing around your sun-kissed thighs
 Thin straps expose almost bare shoulders
 Glistening in the rays, shadowed and ivory clean lines of body
 Midday streaked hair sweeps across those bare shoulders
 And along the comma curves of your pale backbones
 The vivid candy colors of flowers grow wild
 And look as if they’d be sweet and taste like raw sugar
 If you only leaned down to take a bite
