Tribulation
Euphoria and ecstasy
 Did always emanate
 Emitted from a treasured source
 At such an endless rate

 Augmenting happiness around
 Pandora’s Box, unopened
 Assurance seeping through the ground
 With solace never broken

 Time strolled along so gracefully
 Her touch, inimical
 The pandemonium plagued all
 Death came, armed with sickle

 The expiry of jubilance
 Bereavement of delight
 The rise of anguish, agony
 Ignition of the plight

 Antagonism, hatred, wrath
 Emotions made so livid
Yet, somehow hope and faith remained
 So little, though so vivid

 Ambivalence reigns everywhere
 Resentment is now dwelling
The fervent rage is caged inside
 Continuously swelling
