Something Out of Nothing
If a flower can start
 As a lifeless seed
 You can make it through
 This time of need

 If the earth began
 As a cold, hard rock
My dear, you can hold your head high
 Even through stares and gawks

 The sun lights the world
 Through cold, dark space
 Just like the way
You light up my life, and my face

 A bolder will shrink
To a grain of sand over time
But your spirit will live forever
 If you are only kind

 When life seems impossible
And you can't do a thing
 Remember it is possible
To make something out of nothing
