Don't let your dreams stay dreams

The Mirror is vain
The mirror is cold
It won’t apologize for the lies it’s told
You stare deep into its gaze
You hope it will help you see through the haze
But the mirror won’t tell you what you want to hear
You hope that it will make you feel better
But you will never gain
From its one dimensional take on life
You crave for something deeper
But it can only claw at the surface and cause strife
The mirror does not hear your cries
It will continue to spin its lies until your demise

This piece is about people that think the only thing that matters is their appearance. This poem is to remind people that a mirror can't see beyond your skin.
