Train's Drops of Jupiter
Have you ever
 Just been so happy
That you thought you’d cry even though it’s so sappy?

So happy just because of a song
 You’d wanna sing along
 And smile
 For a while?

That’s what I feel like as I sit here
Listening to Train’s song Drops of Jupiter
And I’m so happy I think I might shed a tear

“Now that she’s back in the atmosphere, with drops of Jupiter in her hair”
 And I don’t have a care
“She acts like summer and walks like rain, reminds me that there’s time to change”
And this song is my range
“Since the return of her stay on the moon, she listens like spring and she talks like June”
All I need is this tune

 I’m perfectly content
And I’m happier than I have been in a while
 And everything that’s pent
Up, drops behind me in a pile

 Moving around the room
 Not wanting this to end
And not wanting to go back to the doom
Of the life I have to mend

 I spin around
Taking my happiness all the way
To all the lengths I’ve found
Letting life wait until another day
 As the chorus starts
And my voice rings through the empty house as I sing along

“But tell me, did sail across the sun?”
 Now I’m having fun
“Did ya make it to the Milky Way to see the lights all faded, and that heaven is overrated?”
And it’s hard to believe 5 stars is the highest the song can be rated
“Tell me, did ya fall for a shooting star? One without a permanent scar”
 And my happiness shoots far
“And then you missed me while you were looking for yourself out there”
 I don’t have a single care

 Listening and singing
 And spinning and dancing
 I feel like I’ll cry
 But my eyes stay dry

How can a song make someone so happy
When just moments before they were feeling crappy?
It must take an extraordinary song
 With nothing wrong

 And there isn’t at all
 The lyrics are spot on
And the tune bounces off every wall
 And all doubts are gone

“Now that she’s back from that soul vacation, tracing her way through the constellation”
And of the absolute perfection of the song, I’m certain
“She checks out Mozart and while she does Tae-Bo, reminds that there’s room to grow”
There’s nothing more I need to know
“Now that she's back in the atmosphere, I'm afraid that she might think of me as plain ol' Jane told a story about a man who was too afraid to fly so he never did land”
 I love this band

What else is there to do
 When you are this content?
 And who
Do you tell of this band’s talent?

 Tell everyone!
 What more
 Could you ask for
From a friend than this fun?

But how do you describe something as amazing as this?
 With the lyrics
 There’s no way to miss!
 Choose the very best picks

“But tell me, did the win sweep you off your feet?”
There’s nothing like this unique beat
“Did ya finally get the chance to dance along the light of day, and head back to the Milky Way”
 There’s not much to say
“Tell me, did Venus blow your mind? Was it everything ya wanted to find?”
 Everything’s so kind
“And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there?”
 I don’t need a repair

The song’s getting close to ending now
And all I can think is `oh wow’
 What more can you say?
 Because there’s no way

“Can you imagine no love, pride, deep fried chicken?”
 And my insides are shaken
“Your best friend always sticking up for you, even when I know you’re wrong?”
I can’t think of anything that could be wrong
“Can you imagine a first dance, freeze dried romance, five hour phone conversation, the best soy latte that you ever had and me?”
Now, what’s being described, I can see

 I feel so light
Like I could lift right of the floor
And flow through the breeze like a kite
 And just soar

 The imagery the song paints
 Flows through my head
 As they’re being said

 I’m in the sky
 In my mind’s eye
As the song wraps around me
And I fly over every tree

“But tell me, did the wind sweep you off your feet?”
 The heavens I meet
“Did ya finally get the chance to dance along the light of day, and head back toward the Milky Way?”
I’m in the land of the Fay
“But tell me, did ya sail across the sun?”
 There’s no need to run
“Did ya make it to the Milky Way to see the lights all faded and that heaven is overrated?”
All I can be is candid

 I despair
As the song reaches its end
 And I leave the air
 In a wide bend

 But I don’t leave
Until I’ve soared a little further
So that, in the clouds, I can weave
 Some pictures

“Tell me, did ya fall for a shooting star? One without a permanent scar”
 The end’s not far
“And then you missed me while you were looking for yourself?”
 I’m glad I’m by myself
“And did ya finally get the chance to dance along the light of day?”
The song begins to fade away
“And did you fall for a shooting star? Fall for a shooting star?”
I remember how things really are
“And now you’re lonely looking for yourself out there”
And now I have to care

 The song fades away
And I have to go back to the day
 Until another day

 When I’ll play the song
 That makes me happy
 And makes everything that’s wrong
 And crappy
 Disappear

 Until next time
I’ll have to deal with life
 And leave Train’s rhyme
Behind in favor of my strife

 But I love Train’s song
 Drops of Jupiter is great
 Though it’s not that long
Until I have to go back to my fate
 Of a crummy life

 But at least
 I got the small escape
 For a feast
 Of the landscape
 They create in my mind.
