My best friend.

A lot of people know him,
but some people don't.
Before it's over, more will know him,
but a lot of people won't.

My best friend.

Every day he walks around,
knocking on people's doors.
Many go ahead and let him in,
but most times, he's ignored.

My best friend.

He's really good with his hands;
he likes to put things different ways.
The stuff he's made is beautiful,
and he said it only took six days!

My best friend.

He wrote a book a long time ago;
it's really famous nowadays.
He loves for people to read it.
He cries when they push it away.

My best friend.

He even created a holiday,
and a lot of people bought.
I'm one of them (of course) but,
some folks just can't be taught.

My best friend.

I go to his house every week,
but he tells me I should visit more.
I want to spend more time with him,
but sometimes I'm not so sure.

My best friend.

I tell others about him all the time:
about how he's too great to refuse.
A lot of people don't want to listen,
and they me he's no use.

My best friend.

I talk to him almost every day,
but it should really be more often.
He waits around for me to start,
but somedays I don't feel like talkin'.

My best friend.

He protects me every day.
He even saved my life awhile back.
Sometimes I feel like I didn't deserve it,
and that there's too much I lack.

My best friend.

He says one day I'll live with him,
but I don't know how or when.
All I know is I can't wait
to forever be with my best friend.
