"Family"
Long were the years when we were a “family”
Don’t you think you were too old to be playing those games?
She lived in your world, while you sat on your throne
Going what ever way you thought best

Maybe it’s this thing called love
 That they say is real
But how can it be real if it never lasts?

To my eyes it seems like a drug
Affects your judgment and is highly addictive
Keeping you in its grasp till it hurts you.

Maybe I am just too young or too ignorant to understand
Or is it that I am the one that understands all too well?

I’ve seen all my life that love fails time and time again
 Perhaps it’s genetics
 Perhaps it’s more than that…
